Description
Birthday Cake shares the same parent set as Wedding Cake — Triangle Kush × Animal Cookies — and emerged from the same Seed Junky breeding work, but represents a different phenotype selection from the F1 cross. Where Wedding Cake (the Triangle Mints #23 cut) leans gassier and more fuel-forward, Birthday Cake leans further into the dessert-sweet character of the Animal Cookies parent: vanilla and frosting notes, slightly less kush funk, slightly less pronounced fuel.
The two records exist as siblings in the lineage graph rather than as parent and child. This is exactly the kind of family relationship the lexicon's parents field is designed to capture honestly — "these strains share parents and emerged from the same breeding work, but neither is descended from the other."
Less commercially dominant than Wedding Cake but a frequent appearance in Cookies and Cookies-adjacent retail catalogs, and a reasonably common parent in subsequent Cake-family hybrids.
