Description

Wedding Cake is the Triangle Mints #23 keeper Seed Junky selected from a Triangle Kush × Animal Cookies cross and renamed for retail. It is, by some measures, the single most-grown indica-dominant hybrid of the late 2010s — winning multiple Cannabis Cup categories in 2018 and 2019, anchoring Cookies and Jungle Boys retail catalogs, and seeding a sprawling family of crosses (Birthday Cake, Kush Mints, Pink Rozay, dozens of others).

The character is what made it: small, dense, frosty flower with a vanilla-and-fuel terpene profile that reads as dessert in early flower and as gas in late flower, indica-dominant body effects that are heavy without being sedating, and a flowering window short enough (8–9 weeks indoor) to be commercially practical. The Triangle Kush parent contributes the kush fuel; the Animal Cookies parent contributes the dessert sweetness.

"Triangle Mints #23" is the literal pheno number Seed Junky kept; "Wedding Cake" is the retail name it was released under. Both names persist in the wild, hence the alsoKnownAs entry. The Jungle Boys cut record (wedding-cake-jungleboys-cut) is the most prominent surviving clone-only phenotype derived from this strain.

Cultivation notes

Flowers in 8–9 weeks indoor; slightly longer outdoor in cooler climates. Moderate-difficulty grow — sensitive to humidity in late flower (susceptible to bud rot in dense colas), responds well to defoliation and selective lollipopping. Yields are above average for a Cake-family strain. Best resin production in the final two weeks; pull at trichome maturity rather than calendar.
