Description
Auto Wedding Cake is an autoflowering reinterpretation of Seed Junky's Wedding Cake — bred by crossing Wedding Cake with a ruderalis line to produce a strain that flowers on age rather than photoperiod. Multiple breeders have released auto Wedding Cake variants; this record is community-attributed to FastBuds based on the most widely circulated version, but is not an authoritative breeder claim.
This record exists primarily to exercise the lexicon's versionOf field, which captures derivative-or-claimed relationships distinct from genetic ancestry. The relationship to Wedding Cake is dual:
parents: real breeding work was done — Wedding Cake genetics crossed with ruderalis is genuine genetic descent.versionOf: the strain is sold and discussed AS Wedding Cake (just an autoflower take of it), so the family relationship to the canonical Wedding Cake is also aversionOfclaim.
A pure white-label relabel would have only versionOf; an unrelated strain that happens to share a name would have neither. This record's having both reflects what an autoflower take of a canonical actually is.
The autoflower: true flag is orthogonal to the indica/sativa lean — auto Wedding Cake retains the indica-dominant character of its photoperiod parent.

Cultivation notes
Autoflowering — finishes in roughly 10 weeks from seed regardless of light schedule. Yields are lower than the photoperiod parent and the kush-funk character is muted by the ruderalis influence; trades commercial yield for the operational simplicity of an auto.
